Rows wrong or missing?
Send us the shape of this statement, not its contents. The report below is made in this browser. It keeps where text sits, dates and column headings. Every name, amount, reference and account number is replaced with x and 1, as you can see. Nothing is sent until you send it.
Then email the report to support@statementtocsv.co.uk and say which bank it is from. We’ll add the layout and let you know.

Works with text PDFs that have Date, Description, Paid in / Paid out (or Amount) and Balance columns. Scanned or photographed statements are not supported yet. The samples are fictional test data.
For a sole trader or small company on Tide, a year of statements in Excel is often the starting point for the accounts: income and expenses sorted into categories, ready for a tax return or for an accountant.
Tide’s own download, or the PDF statement?
Tide can also export transactions as spreadsheet files, and connect directly to accounting software. If you have the client’s login and they’re happy for you to use it, those are good options. Converting PDFs is for when you’ve only been given the statements, or you want the balance and whole-year checks on what you were sent.

Working with Tide transactions in Excel
- Self-employed categories. Add a Category column using HMRC’s self-employment expense headings, then total each with a pivot table.
- Separate owner drawings. Filter Paid out for transfers to the owner’s personal account and label them as drawings.
- Check against the feed. If part of the year came from a feed, compare monthly totals with the converted statements.
Support status: beta
StatementToCSV reads statements by their columns, not with a fixed template for each bank, so some Tide statements may already convert. But we haven’t yet tested a real Tide statement, so we don’t claim support. Verified means every extracted row adds up to the balances printed on the statement. If you don’t see Verified, the converter shows you where the balances stopped adding up.
StatementToCSV is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Tide. The name is used only to describe the statements the converter reads.
