Metro Bank support is in beta. Metro Bank has many small business customers, so its statements often end up with bookkeepers. We haven’t tested a real Metro Bank statement yet; the balance check shows straight away whether yours converted completely.

How to download your Metro Bank statement as a PDF

  1. Log in to Metro Bank online banking (personal or business).
  2. Choose the account and look for Statements or Documents.
  3. Select the statement period and download the PDF.
  4. The Metro Bank app may also offer statements from the account.

Business customers with several accounts should download each account’s statements separately so they can be checked one account at a time.

Menu names change from time to time and can differ between the app and the website. If you can’t find statements, search for “statements” in the app or online banking help.

What to check on your Metro Bank statement

Check your statement for a date, transaction details, money out, money in and a running balance.

Which export to choose

For business accounts, choose the Xero or QuickBooks CSV. For personal accounts, the CSV for Excel.

Common issues with Metro Bank statements

Support status: beta

StatementToCSV reads statements by their columns, not with a fixed template for each bank, so some Metro Bank statements may already convert. But we haven’t yet tested a real Metro Bank statement, so we don’t claim support. Verified means every extracted row adds up to the balances printed on the statement. If you don’t see Verified, the converter shows you where the balances stopped adding up.

You can help: click Help us support this layout under the result. It creates a report of the statement’s layout in your browser, with every name, amount, reference and account number replaced by x and 1. Email it to support@statementtocsv.co.uk. When Metro Bank is tested, it will be announced on the updates page.
